This is the first edition of Maritime Pulse, a new format where we will be sharing a mix
of updates from our everyday work, thoughts from our team, as well as new products,
projects and things we think are worth highlighting.
Sometimes it’ll be short and to the point, other times more in-depth, but our idea is
simple. We want to keep you in the loop with what’s going on at Sea IT, both big and
small. We hope you’ll enjoy following along!
Summer at Sea IT is usually a time to enjoy some well earned vacation, recharge the
batteries, and soak up the sun.
But while a few of us took a break, the support team stayed fully operational, with a
smaller crew, making sure everything kept running smoothly, securely, and without
downtime.
Because let’s face it, IT doesn’t take a vacation. And in the maritime industry, there’s no
room for interruptions.

At Sea IT, we’re always looking forward.
How can we work smarter?
How can we continue to deliver even more value to our customers?
What technologies are worth exploring, on our own terms?

One of the areas we’ve started looking into is AI. Not by plugging into big tech plat
forms, but by exploring what we can build and run ourselves. We’ve set up a dedicated,
high-performance PC to get started, small scale, local, and fully in our control.
Now it’s time to enjoy the last part of summer, maybe fire up the grill one last time to
recharge, refocus, and get ready for an exciting and eventful autumn and winter. There’s
a lot in motion, and we’re ready to meet it head on.
